A cat skeleton i put together, minus the legs and ribs.

You can see more hig-res pics and explanations on my LJ: [link]

I might post more here later...

I put this under "artisan crafts" because i figured it was the best section for bone art or skeleton reconstructions...

Really awesome!
This is something I'd most probably do (since I give up on whole skeletal assemblies way too often....)
Awesome pic!

oooh Zhon, i have seen your work before, very talented you are!

thank you so much for commenting :D

Yeah, same here, i often give up when im reminded i'll have to do the feet eventually... carpals, ugh! But im mostly a fan of skulls and spines, strung on a cord like this they're nice and flexible, hangs nicely on a nail too!

:D (It's a very small world on DA :XD: )
I'd love to see more of your bone work! Your photography of them is creepily awesome!

Yeah... I always get confused when assembling the carpal bones... or any toes for that matter.... I gotta say the most horrible spine I've ever assembled was that of a 13 foot burmese python... I stopped after that... screw the 8-million ribs.... Lol!

wow.. that's a real cat skeleton? amazing...!
The skull looks too big to the other parts.. (well, I guess that it's because it's the first time I see the insides of a cat.. [= )

I have to say, that's a one of a kind hobby, never heard of someone doing it before... [=

It came out beautiful (in the creepy way...) =D

Thanks! yeah their skulls look almost like an alien face! but i think what makes it look out of proportion is because it's missing the legs and ribs, etc.

It's a fun hobby, i find it relaxing, and it makes me feel like some kind of archeologist or something, hehe :)

Purrfect! I'd love to see what you'd do with human bone, although isn't it illegal to ship things of that sort to Canada?
